About Hotel Silberhorn
Hotel Silberhorn is in the heart of Wengen opposite the mountain railway. Only 100 metres from the Mannlichen cable car. Because of its location, Hotel Silberhorn is an ideal base for the region’s skiing. The hotel is popular with its guests and has new spa facilities and sleeps up to 140 guests in good quality accommodation.
Hotel Silberhorn has an A la Carte restaurant where you ca enjoy dinner and a relaxing dining room for an informal dinner and breakfast. The Wellness Centre has a gymnasium, sauna, steam room and Finnish Baths, all with stunning views of the mountains. Relax in the cosy lounge area which has a log fire and a bar area.
Wengen is a pretty little village that shares the Jungfrau ski area with its neighbour Grindelwald. From the station, you can take the mountain train up through the heart of the Eiger and wonder at the breathtaking views from the UNESCO World Natural Heritage site of Jungfraujoch.
Skiing in Wengen is heaven for beginners and intermediates with a total of 40 lifts and 213 kms of pistes. For beginners, there are nursery slopes in Wengen and just above Grindelwald, and with the excellent ski schools it won’t be long before learners will progress to intermediate level.
The range of easy runs for intermediates is unlimited with more testing runs down the Kleine Scheidegg mountain. More experienced skiers can even test their skills down the famous Lauberhorn World Cup Downhill course.
Ski Accommodation
There are 70 rooms at Hotel Silberhorn sleeping up to 140 guests.
All the twin and single rooms have a bath and WC aswell as a hairdryer, TV, mini-bar/fridge, tea/coffee making facilities and a telephone..
The North facing twin rooms have beautiful village views.
South facing rooms have a balcony with views towards the Jungfrau.
Meals
Half Board basis is available to guests staying at Hotel Silberhorn.
A hot or cold buffet breakfast with eggs and bacon is offered to guests each morning.
Dinner is a 5-course evening meal with a choice of main courses (including a vegetarian option), starters and desserts.
Dinner may occasionally be an assorted buffet.
Guests receive a small credit if they wish to dine in the A la Carte restaurant.
Weekly and Christmas and New Year gala dinners are included.
