About Hotel Belvedere
Hotel Belvedere enjoys a quiet location overlooking the Lauterbrunnen valley and is just 500 metres from the village centre and ski lifts. This charming hotel has traditional decor and offers guests a friendly atmosphere. The hotel has a children’s playroom and a veranda with panoramic views of the valley.
The spacious lounge area has a cosy fireplace where you can relax with your friends after a long day on the slopes. Meals are served in the comfortable dining room and there is a TV room where you can catch up on what is going on in the world. Hotel Belvedere offers guests complimentary Wi-Fi in the lobby area.
The Alpine village of Wengen shares the Jungfrau ski area with its neighbour Grindelwald. Most of the nursery slopes are in the village and just above Grindelwald, including a blue piste at Oberjoch (a slow speed zone). With the English-speaking Ski Schools, it won’t be long before beginners become more confident and progress to the higher and longer runs.
Holidaymakers can take the train from Wengen all the way up the Eiger to the UNESCO World Heritage site of Jungfraujoch, where they will experience the most breathtaking views. Experts can try the Lauberhorn World Cup downhill course, or the Black Rock run that starts at the base of the Eiger. There are 2 half-pipes in the area for boarders.
There are a few entertainment venues around Wengen and a cinema. The restaurants and bars get busy in the evening and some open late for late night revellers.
Ski Accommodation
Hotel Belvedere has a total of 62 rooms.
All the rooms have bath or shower and WC. Other facilities also include a hairdryer, safe, telephone, TV and a radio.
Many south facing rooms have a balcony with stunning views.
Smaller north facing twin rooms have sloping roofs.
Larger twin rooms can take up to 2 extra beds, which may be bunk beds.
Meals
Half board is available to guests staying at Hotel Belvedere.
A good buffet breakfast is offered to guests each morning.
Dinner is a 4-course evening meal with a choice of main course, dessert and starter. A salad buffet is also served most evenings.
