Val d'Isère
Apres-Ski in Val d'Isère
Especially since the Albertville Winter Olympics in 1992, Val d'Isère has grown into a beautiful, resource-filled resort with an Alpine village ambience. There's whizzy night life, there are cosy crêperies, fine-dining restaurants, loads of shops, a sports centre with indoor pool, a cinema…well, you name it, Val d'Isère has probably got it.
Dick's T Bar is a must if you like clubbing - oh my goodness, it's open until 5 a.m. - or there's La Folie Douce (Cirque de Soleil meets après ski) or go bananas in Bananas with a cocktail or three.
Brilliant skiing, fabulous après-ski and plenty for non-skiers too - what's not to like? Book a Val d'Isère holiday with GetSkiing and get a great deal.
Gary's Little Gems in Val d'Isère
Val d'Isère has to be one of the top ski resorts in the world with guaranteed snow, some great piste skiing across the 300 kms of Espace Killy and some great off-piste skiing. If you want to get away from the crowds, choose the Glacier du Pissaillas which has several blue and red runs, often with fresh snow because of its altitude - and often empty of other skiers because it's off the beaten track.
