About Muotka Wilderness Lodge
Muotka Wilderness Lodge has undergone renovation and is full of warmth and relaxation. From the second you arrive, this lodge feels like home from home. As you enter the reception building you will be greeted by a warm fireplace which is located in the restaurant.
Guests can also relax at the small lounge and bar area with a refreshing drink or a snack. There is a sauna for both men and women as well as an outdoor fireplace, shelter and Sami kota hut.
Although Saariselka is a fantastic resort, it is geared more towards beginners and intermediates as well as snowboarders.
Saariselka is situated in the far north of Finnish Lapland, approximately 250km above the Arctic Circle. It is a small resort in the middle of nature with a small number of hotels and chalets. There are 200 km of well maintained cross country routes and 15 slopes altogether.
Ski Accommodation
Muotka Wilderness Lodge has lodge rooms, log suites, Aurora cabins and detached log cabins.
The log cabins are situated in the main reception building and sleep up to 3 guests. They are all tastefully decorated in a Nordic style and have a shower, hairdryer, WC and either twin or double beds.
Log Suites sleep up to 4 guests. These pine clad one room suites also have a double bed, shower, WC and a sauna. 2 extra beds can be provided for children.
Detached log cabins are the same as the Log Suites but are detached.
Aurora Cabins are set in a quiet area away from the lights and sleep 2-4 guests. These rooms need to be pre-booked for one night during your stay and have large north-facing semi glass roofs so you can see the night sky from your bed. They also have a sauna, shower, hairdryer, WC, tea/coffee making facilities and a fridge.
Meals
Guests can enjoy a selection of hot and cold dishes each morning for breakfast.
Lunch is served either at the lodge or as a picnic around an open fire on excursions.
Dinner is a 3 course evening meal with a selection of each course.
Throughout the day complimentary tea and coffee is available.
