About Mayrhofen Guesthouses
The Mayrhofen Guesthouses are family run and are dotted around the Mayrhofen resort within 800 metres of the village centre and close to the resort ski bus service. The guesthouses vary in style and facilities, but all provide great access to the 487 km of pistes in the Ziller Valley. Ideal for those wanting inexpensive accommodation on a bed and breakfast basis, these guesthouses are allocated on arrival.
Located at the foot of the Penken and Ahorn mountains, Mayfhofen is a pretty traditional village in Austria’s Tyrol. The Zillertal Superski Pass allows skiers to access a vast 515 km of piste to keep you busy. Intermediate and advanced skiers will be impressed with the many runs available, and beginners are not forgotten with the most suitable runs for beginners on the Ahorn mountain.
For those wanting to test their skills, the famous “Harakiri” run is the steepest run in Austria. If you manage to complete it, you get to wear the “I survived the Harakiri” t-shirt and get your free photo every Friday. For snowboarders, the Penken Park is one of the leading freestyle parks in Europe, made up of 8 areas, there is something for everyone including a Kids Park section where beginners can also practice and improve their skills.
Ski Accommodation
Accommodation at the guesthouses varies, most having 1 or 2 bedrooms with single or Austrian twin beds and a living area. There is a private bathroom which has a shower and WC.
Austrian Twin beds are common in Central Europe. They consist of a double bed base, which cannot be separated, with two single mattresses, duvets and bed linen.
Meals
A continental breakfast is served each morning. Guests have the option to upgrade to a 3 course evening meal which is taken in the nearby restaurant.
