About Hotel Vauban
The 3 star Hotel Vauban is located in a convenient location iin the town of Briancon at the southern end of the Serre-Chevalier valley. It is a great complex for those who are skiing on a budget. In the resort centre there are plenty of activities for those who are not planning on spending the whole time on the slopes. Choose from exploring the bars and shops or visit Briancon old town and ejoy this amazing UNESCO World Hertiage Site. It is a 10 minute walk to the Porels ski lift and 5 minutes to the ski school meeting point.
The facilities in the hotel are fairly basic as there are plenty of things to do in and around the area. It does have a bar and a relaxing lounge area where you can join together with friends and family. The hotel also has free WiFi access for guests to use.

All the rooms have double or twin beds, WiFi access, TV, sofabed and a bath or shower.
Meals
Every morning you can start the with a hearty breakfast offeing a variety of hot and cold dishes. Dinner is a 3-course evening meal with a choice of dishes.

It's funny that when we think of a skiing holiday in France the name Serre Chevalier may not be one of those that immediately springs to mind - but it darn well should! Serre Chevalier is close to the Italian border, made up of several villages on a valley floor well linked by buses, free if you have a lift pass.
