About Hotel Steiner
Run by the Steiner family, the Hotel Steiner has an excellent reputation for its service. It is located just 150 metres from the centre of Obertauern with access to the slopes just across the road. The hotel sleeps up to 174 guests in 87 rooms or suites. Facilities include playrooms for both infants and children, conservatory, spacious bar and lounge area and a recently refurbished restaurant.
Skiing holidays in Obertauern are perfect for families as there are 95 kms of prepared piste, all leading back to the village and ideal for all grades of skiers. There are 26 interconnecting lifts allowing skiers to utilize the area without the need for ski buses.
The resort has many attractions for non-skiers including a large sports centre, indoor tennis, snowboarding, walking (18 kms of cleared paths) mountain huts, bars, restaurants and discos.
Ski Accommodation
Plattenkar rooms are Austrian twins and have a seating area. These rooms are north facing. All rooms have a bath, telephone, cable TV, radio, safe and hairdryer.
Seekareck rooms are larger Austrian twins with a seating area and are south facing.
Junior suites have a lounge area, separate WC and are south facing.
Grunwaldkopf rooms are Austrian twins and have bath or shower, WC and are north facing.
Zehnerkar rooms are singles and are available on request.
Meals
A hot and cold buffet breakfast is served everyday until 10.00. From 10.00-12.00 an A la Carte breakfast is served. Guests can enjoy a 3 course buffet lunch from 12.00-17.00. Dinner is a 4-course evening meal with a choice of 3 main dishes plus a salad buffet and cheese selection. There is a weekly farmers’ or Italian buffet.
