About Hotel Sonne
This very comfortable family run hotel is excellent value for money with an ‘all-inclusive board’ basis. Located between Saalbach and Hinterglemm, it is in a prime position for the ski slopes. The ski bus stops outside and the hotel runs a free shuttle bus. Some of the facilities include a modern spa, excellent dining, free use of the indoor pool, saunas and steam room. The Hotel Sonne sleeps up to 134 guests in 67 rooms.
The ski resorts of Saalbach and Hinterglemm have direct access to over 200km of downhill skiing with 60 pistes and 52 ski lifts. The area offers some of the best skiing in Europe with something for everyone.
Beginners will enjoy the nursery slopes that are close to the village and ski schools. Intermediates will appreciate the large ski area across the valley, while the experts take the gondola to the north-facing Zwolferkogel which has a 3km black mogul run back down beneath the lift. Apres-ski in the area is lively, with partying often starting in the late afternoon. Numerous bars are dotted around the area including ice bars outside some hotels and there are several nightclubs.
Ski Accommodation
Hotel Sonne has a total of 67 bedrooms which are either a modern style (Kohlmais) with a shower, or a traditional (Reiterkogel) with a bath.
Standard and larger Austrian twins have sofa bed, flat screen TV, hairdryer, shower, WC and balcony. In all rooms, it is possible for the hotel to separate the beds on request if you'd prefer. Single rooms with a double bed are available for sole use on request.
Meals
A hot or cold buffet breakfast is served everyday. Late sleepers can enjoy an A la Carte breakfast. A hot or cold lunch buffet with salad, soups, cakes and pastries is available. Dinner is a 5 course evening meal with a choice of main dishes. Unlimited drinks including soft drinks, tea/coffee, International beers, wines and spirits are available throughout the day.
