About Hotel Rodella
Giorgio and Susanna Planker run this superb hotel which has panoramic views of the valley and mountains. Hotel Rodella is decorated in a Tyrolean style and guests can enjoy a relaxing holiday in this traditional hotel. The hotel provides a free shuttle service to and from the lifts, and if the snow conditions are right, you can ski back to the hotel from the Santa Cristina lifts.
The resort centre is 1 km from the hotel. Hotel Rodella provides a spa centre with Canadian hot tub, whirlpool, sauna, Turkish bath, Kneipp bath and fitness area. There is a Tyrolean stube with games and a Tyrolean restuarant with panoramic views. After a day on the slopes, relax in the bar or lounge area with your friends and enjoy a drink or 2.
Selva is a village in the Val Gardena region of the Dolomites. Being part of the famous Sella Ronda ski area and the larger Dolomiti Superski area, the region offers some of the best skiing in Italy. Beginners can learn their skills on the nursery slopes of Selva.
Once the basics have been mastered, they can move on to the Sella Ronda ski circuit which includes a 26-km circular tour with wide pistes and pretty wooded slopes and fantastic scenery. Experienced skiers can take one of the many lifts or gondolas to St Cristina where the Men’s World Cup Downhill races are held every year. Here you can test your skills and wonder how the professionals make it look so easy.
