About Hotel Monte Rosa
The historic Monte Rosa is one of the oldest hotels in Zermatt having opened all the way back in 1853 – and it’s been run by the same family from the start.
Located close to the near bus stop, you have easy access to the nearest ski lifts (which can also be accessed on foot in around ten minutes), whilst you are also close to the various bars and restaurants that are to be found within the resort.
The hotel offers an authentic Swiss experience from start to finish, with the chance to enjoy a drink in the bar named after Edward Whymper (the first person to climb the Matterhorn) before retiring to your traditionally styled room on an evening to relax. Access to the pool at a nearby hotel is also offered.
Whilst you'll be staying on a Bed & Breakfast basis, there are no shortage of dining options with a plentiful supply of eateries within a matter of minutes.
Ski Accommodation
The hotel offers a range of accommodation, from single rooms for those travelling alone through to twin rooms for two, and superior twins that can sleep up to three thanks to a single folding bed in the room.
All rooms have a cable TV, bathrobes, safe and minibar with free soft drinks.
Meals
The hotel operates on a Bed & Breakfast basis, with guests able to select from a range of options thanks to a daily buffet. Afternoon tea and cake is also available.

The Matterhorn really is the most iconic mountain in the Alps, and Zermatt is right underneath it so you are guaranteed the most sublime views, what with the Dom and Monte Rosa too. Skiing heaven here and one of the longest seasons with super-reliable snow so miss a trip here at your peril.
