About Hotel Le Val Thorens
The Hotel Le Val Thorens is a somewhat retro offering in the heart of Val Thorens, having been one of the first hotels in the resort when it opened back in the 1970s.
The hotel offers ski-in/ski-out access to the slopes, which means guests can explore the area around Val Thorens and the wider Three Valleys ski area with ease. Should you not want to ski to the slopes, a shuttle operates to the lifts and ski school meeting point.
The shuttle will also take you into the resort centre should you want to sample the apres-ski scene.
The hotel has two restaurants of its own where you can dine on a range of local and national dishes, as well as a bar where you can sit back with a drink in front of a roaring fire at the end of the day.
There is a spa on site with a pool, and an area for children.
Ski Accommodation
The hotel has a range of rooms with views of the village or the slopes that can be booked on a half-board or Bed & Breakfast basis. Twin rooms can sleep two, with family rooms sleeping three with the addition of a sofa bed. All rooms have a cable TV, telephone, hairdryer, bathrobes and safe with some having balcony access.
Meals
Guests can enjoy a buffet breakfast each morning before leaving to head for the slopes, with evening meals in either Le Val Thorens restaurant - where traditional French food is order of the day - or La Fondue, which is more focused on local specialities.

Goodness! Val Thorens is the highest ski resort in Europe at 2300m. No, you don't need oxygen masks but you are pretty much assured of snow from November through to May. Surrounded by a great horseshoe of stunning peaks it's nothing short of spectacular.
It's part of the wonderful Les 3 Vallées network so if you tire of its own pistes, it's easy...
