About Hotel Ambassador
The Hotel Ambassador has a glorious mountainside position in one of Switzerland's popular ski resorts, Zermatt.
It also sits at the foot of the main shopping street that leads you to the resort centre, which is just 300 metre away. This is where you can enjoy the fabulous apres ski nights, or a romantic meal at one of the fabulous restaurants, or to wake up your wallet and have a smooch around the delightful shops that are in pretty traditional chalet style buildings that line the streets.
Skiers and snowboarders only need to walk a couple of minutes to the nearby Bahnof ski shuttle and bus stop to take you to begin another thrilling day on the slopes and there is a ski school offering group lessons on the nursery slopes for first-time skiers.
After a day on the slopes, guests can make use of the ski room to hang up their skis and boots and they also have an in-house ski rental shop, for hiring any equipment that you would need and the sale of accessories such as goggles and gloves.
The Hotel Ambassador has been renovated and refurbished to a high standard throughout. Although it is traditional on the outside, the hotel now offers a modern and comfortable style, with splashes of bright colours throughout.
There is a spa and wellness area which has an indoor pool, sauna, hot tub and steam room for guests to relax those aching muscles and unwind, ready for a fun evening ahead.
The lounge area has comfortable modern sofas and clusters of chairs and tables for guests to relax by the open fire, whilst enjoying a drink from the bar.
Dining at the Hotel Ambassador is a pleasant experience, with many delicious dishes to enjoy, including some of the local speciality dishes.
There is a restaurant and bar on the ground floor and guests who are staying on a half board basis can enjoy the delicious meals in the spacious dining hall.
Ski Accommodation
All 85 guest rooms have been completely renovated and refurbished and all have a balcony, so you can sit back and relax whilst enjoying the spectacular views of the mountain scenery surrounding Zermatt and some also have views of the famous Matterhorn.
Each of the rooms has satellite TV, in-room safe, telephone, radio and an en-suite bathroom and a hairdryer.
Suites are available, which are larger and have a seating area and table and chairs.

The Matterhorn really is the most iconic mountain in the Alps, and Zermatt is right underneath it so you are guaranteed the most sublime views, what with the Dom and Monte Rosa too. Skiing heaven here and one of the longest seasons with super-reliable snow so miss a trip here at your peril.
