About Hotel Alex
The Hotel Alex is a fabulous hotel that is located in the heart of Zermatt, in Switzerland.
This unique hotel is full of charm and character, with a combination of cosy little rooms and large relaxing spaces, which do not hold back on the beautifully carved wood panelling on the walls and ceilings to give it that traditional and very romantic feel throughout.
There are many great facilities that would appeal to families with children, groups of friends and couples such as a spa and wellness centre with a steam bath, sauna and massage and beauty treatments, which are available by appointment.
For those who like to keep fit, there is a fully equipped gym and indoor swimming pool and there are indoor courts for tennis, badminton and squash.
The children are not left out as they can also have fun in the indoor pool and there is a games room, billiards table and an unsupervised outdoor play area, which is available, dependant on the weather.
The main ski area is 300 metres away, and guests can enjoy the picturesque walk, or they could take the ski bus that stops close to the hotel.
After a thrilling day on the slopes, guests can hang up their skis and boots in the ski room with a heated boot rack, ready for the next fun-packed day, making the most of the glorious snow.
After the guests have had to time to chill out and unwind, they can look forward to getting ready for a delightful evening ahead.
The dining hall, which is also available for breakfast, has a large selection of delicious meals that would appeal to all taste buds, including those with special dietary requirements.
Guests then have a choice of making their way to the lounge area, cigar room, wine cellar, or bar area, where the children can enjoy a game of pool, whilst you sit back with a glass of wine and maybe catch up with friends and family back home with the free Wi-Fi.
The resort centre is just 20 metres away from the hotel, so you do not need to go too far, to enjoy the fun evenings in the restaurants and bars and not forgetting the great shopping to wake up your wallet.

Ski Accommodation
The 84 individually styled guests rooms are spacious, modern and offer lots of storage options.
Each room has satellite TV, mini bar, in-room safe, telephone, radio and an en-suite bathroom, bathrobes and a hairdryer.
Most of the rooms are twins and there are also larger superior twins and junior suites available at a supplement.
