About Hotel Alaska
Because of its location at the top of the nursery slopes and close to the ski school meeting place, it is possible to ski in and out of Hotel Alaska. The centre of Selva is about 1 km away. The hotel has a small wellness area with whirlpool, sauna and Turkish bath. The large sun terrace and Alaska bar offer guests amazing panoramic views of the slopes. The hotel sleeps up to 58 guests in nicely furnished rooms with balconies.
Selva is a small village and is part of the Val Gardena area of the Dolomites, famous for its World Cup ski races held every year. With easy access to the Dolomiti Superski area and the Sella Ronda with its 26 kms of pistes.
Skiing in and around Selva is ideal for beginners, intermediates and experts.
The dramatic scenery makes this one of the most beautiful ski areas in Europe. These mountains often have a soft pink glow at sunrise and a fiery red colour at sunset making a dramatic backdrop. With plenty of red and blue runs, the area caters for everyone.
Après-ski is quite lively in the centre with a wide selection of restaurants and bars offering a wide range of entertainment. Some bar staff even dress in traditional Tyrolean costume.
